The island where Balearic open-mindedness met house music, and the world’s DJs went every summer since.

House music in Ibiza
In the mid-1980s DJ Alfredo at Amnesia played an open-minded “Balearic” mix of pop, rock, soul and early house. A group of British DJs including Paul Oakenfold heard it in 1987 and took the feeling home, helping spark acid house in the UK.
Since then Ibiza has been house music’s summer capital, with residencies from almost every artist on this site.
