The story
Who is DJ Sauce?
DJ Sauce is Jorge Esparza, a house DJ and producer born in El Paso, Texas and raised across the border in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. He now lives in Denver, Colorado, where he runs Lubdub Records.
He played his first gig in 2016. His sets move between eclectic house melodies and raw acid cuts, “the groove of house with the grit of acid,” and they’ve put him in the booth next to Lee Burridge, Nick Warren, Dana Ruh, Riva Starr and Latmun.
Why he’s Under the Radar
No major-label push, no viral moment. The records come out on small labels like PhonicHouse1, Sonido Wey, FRSCKO World and Street Habitat, and his own Lubdub started as a local promotion crew. Every booth he’s shared was earned in the room. That’s exactly the kind of artist this site exists to put in front of you before the charts catch up. More on how we pick
